A little rave and a whole lotta Rant.......

Today, I am going to rant about the Benefits of EO's, also known as Essential Oils. They are amazing. I have been using Essential Oils from Young Living for over a month now and they are my best friends. From helping heal a burn on my leg to virtually errassing a terrible sinus pressure headache. I have used them topically, in my bath, in my drinking water and my favorite way.....my home diffuser:

I love this thing! It uses water with drops of the oil to dispense a fine vapor of oil filled deliciousness into the room. It really does make a difference whether I am trying to get rid of an odor or just release my favorite oils into the air. I wanted to boost my mood so put a little Thieves in the water. Thieves is one of my favorite Oils, well that and Valor because it lessens Ron's snoring :)

I'll probably do one more dispurse today using purification to kind of cleanse and detox the air. Love me my essential oils. I even use one drop on my hands for Cheerio's Doggie Allergies. I also use purification oil in my Dishwasher and Washing machine. Makes stuff smell good. Especially, the dishwasher!

Good stuff right here........

Just like any other married couple, not all days are sunshine and roses, but we are pretty much sunshine and roses most of the time. Today I got the biggest chuckle when I opened the lid on a cake I recently made. That Ron cracks me up:

Can you totally tell which part of the cake Ron likes :) I laughed for five minutes about this. Silly Ron.

Now on to my rant. I am really beginning to think Huskers fan are going off the deep end when it comes to Football and losing. Yes, we lost last weekend to Minnesota. Were they a horrible team. No I don't believe they were. Fans spout off insults and hate messages faster than the team gets a chance to get back to Lincoln.

One of the WORST places in the social media world, that I personally believe WAY TOO much hate is being spewed is Twitter. I personally do not like twitter. Yes, you get instant information, news, updates, etc BUT in the world of sports you also have the opportunity for fans to immediately attack an athlete through their twitter account.

It sickens me. The stuff people say on twitter. It's like an open forum for complaining, bitching, insulting, attacking and even threatening. Social Media has it's place but I see far more negative then positive. I have left more Huskers and NASCAR groups on Facebook then I can count in the last two months. To Personally attack 17 and 18 years old on Twitter because of a messed up play to sending hate filled rants to a NASCAR driver. It's a bunch of silly bone heads who sit on their computer looking for ways to entertain themselves by insulting others.

SO for the Husker football fans, maybe it's time you start also following our Volleyball Girls, the Soccer Team, the Girls Basketball Team and our Wrestlers. I think you might be surprised that we have an amazing team of young woman and men, our football team included.....do I need remind you idiots about Jack Hoffman and what the team has done for Jack and his family? Or have you forgotten how a fine group of young men made the dreams of a little boy come true.

Oh another Facebook related rant. For the past few days there has been this Riddle going around on Facebook where if you didn't get the riddle right you had to change your Profile Picture to a giraffe. It was driving me nuts UNTIL I was on Pinterest and found this:

Which I promptly made my profile photo :) My thoughts exactly ;) and apparently me and the 36 other people who liked my profile photo and commented on it.

With that.....I am off to offer my support to the Nebraska Volleyball Team in Lincoln tonight. A great group of young ladies...GO BIG RED!!!!!

It's been a long time coming....

A new post that is. I have no idea why I lost my motivation to blog but it surely has gone somewhere. There are days I think "I really have nothing monumental to post about" and then I think I am doing this blog for me anyway :) Then I have a comment here and there from people that I didn't even know read my blog asking why I don't post anymore. Interesting and flattering at the same time. So I am sitting here thinking..."What could I post about today" and the only thing that came into my mind is "Why am I obsessing with my missing cups and plates" Yes, I have a dish disappearing fairy in my house. I am not sure what I can do to this fairy to make him (ummmmmm) them.....stop taking my dishes in his (ummmmmmm) their vehicle. No soup bowl, cup, mug and tupperware is safe, they are all potential victims of the dish fairy. He (ummmmmmm) they are a crafty lot because they also like to fly off with silverware too......so if anyone happens to see a patterned plate or mug matching this description.....please let me know:

and on another note of interest. I have alot of other things I would LOVE to vent off my mind on here in my little blog corner, but I shall refrain considering I would probably get in trouble...... :) and NO it has nothing to do with the above mention "He".

An array of various posts

 Monday, July 29th, 2013

I swear Monday's almost kill me. They are so long and the drag on for me. Ron is usually in the office till late and it gets to be a long day.

I bet you are wondering why in the heck I took a picture of this and probably also wondering what it is!

It is a little contraption that I bought once while shopping in Fremont with my Sister-in-law. It is a butter dispenser for  sweet corn. It is the coolest thing ever! Somewhere along the way I have lost one :( You put the butter in the top and the bottom is curved like an ear of corn. In my personal opinion it is the best. I wish I could find two more but then again how many times do Ron and I have over more than him and I for corn :)

I have felt so sick all day. My Tummy has been rolling. I had the worst pain in my right shoulder. I slept on the thing wrong all night :(  I had Zero energy. I was exhausted all day.

BUT what could wake a girl up more.....a little Dirt Racin with none other than my favorite NASCAR boy Mr Clint Bowyer. You know you love racin when you are watching the Mod Mania race in Hays, Kansas from your computer. I enjoyed seeing local driver Dylan Smith race. He was last years winner of the race so of course I cheered for Dylan. and then there is David Murray. I haven't watched him race since my buddy Dave Anson raced at the Sandhills Shootout in North Platte Nebraska.

One of my friends posted this picture of Clint Dirt Modified built by Belleville Motorsports. I have a sweet place in my heart for BMS because we sold the Building to them and we had an auction there for the previous owners. But Then there is that Landers boy.....who drove a Jett mod. All those years of saying it's time to flush the Johnny.....that would be Jett, when he raced against my pal Dave, I really like the guy. BUT all those memories of some of the best nights of my life included these people:

Wednesday, July 31st

I can't NOT believe it is the last day of July! I am not sure where this year is going. July just simply disappeared. Today, I had to get my plates on my car renewed. I tried going there with a positive, I will get this done attitude and let mad at everyone in the Platte County Courthouse. I decided that after that I need a treat! So I Finally got to take a trip to the new Yourgurt City in Columbus. Nothing says happy day like Yourgurt for lunch! Of course it was Chocolate :)

Going back to our cabin I felt defeated because I didn't accomplish getting my plates renewed :( and I was totally energized by a bowl of Chocolate. I got home and tried pulling out the bottom drawer of my refrigerator and the entire first shelf fell and everything dropped on the floor and all over. I decided well it is about time to cleaning it out. So 4 hours and 15 minutes later it was done! YEAH!

Now, it is time to enjoy some weekly wings at Uncle Shaky's in Duncan with our friend Lenni. I don't get to see Lenni enough and I am looking forward to seeing her and catching up a bit. Well so much for that. Ron's tardiness postponed our little party to next week. Which is actually Ron's birthday, so fun fun times......

Thursday, August 1st

Ron and I had to make a business trip to Kansas. We decided Cheerio might like to tag along. So we took him. ON the way home it started to storm and we took cover at our friends house in Central City. Right before we got there I checked the back seat to see how Cheerio was handling the situation. I think pretty well :)

Turning over a new....

Blogging leaf......

I am trying to take a lesson from my blogging Niece Jessica! She does such a great job and I really want to publish my blog like I did the first four years I blogged. I decided that instead of putting alot of pressure on myself to blog everyday I would try and follow Jessica's lead, starting tomorrow, and blog once a week, with kind of highlight of the week. Unless something earth shaking happens.

I guess I didn't realize people actually read my blog until a friend of mine, who I had no idea even knew my blog existed said she missed reading up on our lives through my blog. What a shocker that was :) Who would have imagined that my life would be so interesting.

Today was a rare quite Sunday Funday at our house. I must say that I needed a day to sit in peace and quite with Ron and Cheerio. Ron of course, filled my entire dining room table with papers, envelopes, computers and sticky notes in just one short hour. I decided to ignore it and make myself a nice little nest on the couch with Cheerio and settle in to watch our Favorite NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer race at New Hampshire. Clint's won here before so I always enjoy watch the NH Race at Loudon. However, Clint struggled with a wacky handling car and a flat tire....all I have to say is after listening to his in car radio on my phone I had to put it on mute :) Here is Cheerio and I hanging out watchin some racin!

We love watching our Favorite Driver race.....GO CLINT BOWYER!
I nested myself so well that I fell sound asleep during the race. I woke up with about 100 laps to go. Clint was struggling. It was painful to listen to and watch he was just stuck. I am not sure what the heck happened during the final Green-white-Checkered finish but that man somehow vaulted him self from 21st to 13th place. Thank gosh because a 21 place finish was NOT what we needed at all.

But on another note! Our Michael Waltrip Racing teammate Brian Vickers driving the #55 won the race. That team has been so close all year to winning. I was happy that Brian won, he's had alot of diversity the last few years and deserved this win. Way to go Brian! Now it's time for the #15 car to get into Victory lane!!!!

Totally Cool Brian! Loved how he was high fiving the fans as he went by!! That was so darn cool!

Loved how the whole crew ran out onto the race track! I love it when the underdogs win!!!
Had some surprise vistors, Tom and Sue Korus. What a nice visit we had, we were then joined by friends Joe and Sharlene and Darrell and Carol to celebrate Sharlene's birthday. We packed up and headed into Duncan for Supper and the new Uncle Shaky's. Everyone seemed happy and full.

Returned back home to try and get the jump on laundry and packing! Headed to the second of three Big Iron meetings this month. Off to Rock Island, Illinois for week two! Then on to Pulaski Wisconsin for some Polish fun!!!!!

Silly Cheerio

When I am away from Cheerio for a few days, as I have been while in GI at our convention. I always enjoy working at home and spending the day with him. He is such a clown.

Looking so serious boy. Man it's almost like...you leave me again and........
And there is the issue with the Sun from our Sunlights. He follows the light around the cabin as it changes during the day. Here he is warming himself in the sunlight, in just a few short minutes it moved and he moved with it. Silly Goose!!!

I can't believe I have never taken pictures of him doing this, but today I finally did. Cheerio gets a Treat after he does his outdoor "business".
I sat as I was told to do....

Now I am starting to beg...with my tongue out! I am salivating....

Please Mommy....I want my Treat....it almost looks like he is praying :)

Please Please Please give me my treat!
Anyone who reads this who has actually seen him do this would agree it's pretty darn cute. His little paws going 100 miles an hour.

Bad Bad blogger.......

I am not sure how I got so far behind on my blog but I did....now it appears I am going to have to go back and do some serious updating :)

Spent the day at the final sessions of our Big Iron National Meeting in Grand Island, Nebraska. I actually went and ran some errands while Ron finished up and then helped Ray tear down and pack up the displays to come home. We had had Ron's sister's son Grant staying with us and working for us for a couple of weeks here and there. Naturally, Ron and Grant were determined to go for a Razr ride. For those of you who are wondering why anyone would ride on a Razor....it is an ATV not the one you use on your face. :) My job while they toured around was to make my Chicken wings in my secret sauce......just like Duke and his Bush's Baked Beans....I have a secret sauce........

However, I will not make them again in our Pizza Oven. Ron thought that would be a fantastic Idea.....NOT SO MUCH! It was a total mess in my oven. Took me hours to clean it. Not too happy about that. Would have been much easier on my Green Mountain, but hey they did turn out pretty good. I could live on Chicken Wings. Seriously everyday at least for one meal. Considering Ron and I ate at Buffalo Wild Wings in Grand Island on Monday Night you would think I would get tired of them, for some reason I don't.

So now, it's off to bed after packing a lunch for Grant. Been a long but good three days, kind of ready for the weekend......

Weird and Wacky Clouds & Hot Dogs.....

My morning at Duncan Lakes started off with a couple of nice rain showers and then later in the morning this strange and weird Shelf Cloud that along the leading line of a Cold Front which had prompted a Several Thunderstorm north of Columbus. I could not get a photo of the whole thing but it was huge! I have never seen a shelf cloud this long in person.

Then low and behold, I find this post on Facebook from my Beloved KOLN/KGIN Weather page a picture of the entire thing taken by someone else near Duncan. It was an amazing cloud, but glad it didn't cause us much grief.

Even 45 minutes later it still looked weird, but to the West it was starting to clear off. Our cute little Blue boat looks so cute all hitched up to the dock :)

It was catch up day for Kristin, and I desperately had to clean off my email. I spent Tuesday cleaning off my computer because it was starting to get full. Pretty awesome that a Mac you have had since 2009 was just now starting to fill up even after my 202 pictures from my Nephew at Wrestling at State Wrestling and four years of his Football and District wrestling. My Ole girl Macie has treated me well. Never had a problem with her till now. But I think I got her fixed up.

As usual, I snuck me in some Candy Crush Saga. Darn that game, but I think being Dyslexic helps me kick at this game.

Been playing storm chaser for Ron, Ray and JB who are making their way across Kansas. You know I have spent alot of time in Kansas when I am explaining where they are and where the storms are. Kansas has been good to us. Had a lot of Auctions in Kansas. Good times. Then, I got hungry, stand back folks. It's my gourmet coming out..............

PS.....if you live in Nebraska and eat hot dog and don't eat Fairbury brand.......My hands are tied I can't help you. These are the Dogs served at Husker Events and my FAVORITE. This was a naughty naughty supper but Momma loves her some Cheese and Fairbury Hot Dogs on a Stadium bun....can't go wrong with that.
