The curious case of the Lighted tools......

My Brother George just wanted to buy some nice gifts for his family, but they ended up just making us all laugh, giggle and apparently break out in sword fights. It started off with one and ended up with five..........men with one....and then there was one girl with one.  I think these, screwdrivers, magnets, wrenches.......

The first three and their......toys, I mean tools!!!!!!

And then there were four:

AND Then there were five and their toys......

And then there were six, including one girl!!!!!!!

Uncle George's and Dad's gift...........ROCKED and was fun!!!!!!

A lucky day..

Every once in a while you can sit back and say "WOW this was a great lucky day"

First...my precious farm dog Buddy Boy survived a scare. I can't believe he is ok, considering that we had a grim report on Thursday. I LOVE that dog. He is a wonderful boy and I was NOT ready for him to leave .

He can drive a truck too!!!!

AVONDALE, Ariz. – Clint Bowyer didn't lose his touch during a three-year hiatus from NASCAR's Camping World Truck Series.
Driving Kevin Harvick's No. 2 Chevrolet, Bowyer won Friday night's Lucas Oil 150 at Phoenix International Raceway in his first start in the series since Oct. 20, 2007 at Martinsville.
Bowyer beat race runner-up Kyle Busch (Kyle Busch Motorsports) to the line by 1.039 seconds. Johnny Sauter (ThorSport Racing) finished third, followed by teammate Matt Crafton and Almirola (Billy Ballew Motorsports).
"Everybody back at the shop did such a great job building this thing," Bowyer said. "They were excited about it before we came down here, and any time these guys get excited about building a truck back at the shop, you know as a race-car driver that you're going to have a good hot rod, and we certainly did.
"I love this series, and I think this is some of the best racing we have in NASCAR. It's fun to be back in it."
Bowyer had the dominant truck in the early going. After taking the top spot from polesitter Austin Dillon (Richard Childress Racing) following a restart on lap 24, Bowyer opened a lead that reached 6.626 seconds before NASCAR called the second caution of the race on lap 53 because of fluid on the track.
Busch led 25 laps in the middle of the race, but Bowyer reasserted his superiority after beating Busch out of the pits for a restart on lap 67.
“It was a good run for us,” Busch said. “I’m real proud of the guys from the way we turned it around – the first run of the race, that came out of nowhere. We didn’t know what happened with the truck or what we did on the start there. But they changed some air pressures, and made some chassis adjustments and got the truck to handling a lot better.
“The last run of the race … just didn’t have it. We didn’t have enough to keep up with Clint.
“He was really good. … He had everything going for him tonight, he had a good truck – that truck’s won here three years in a row here I believe – that’s a tough truck to beat.”
While Todd Bodine wrapped up the driver’s title, Busch holds a 120-point lead over Bodine's No. 30 Toyota, fielded by Germain Racing, in the battle for the owners' championship.

Turn away NOW.....

if you are not in the mood for a tearing jerking post by me. Close your eyes, hit the search button, just move on if you must, but you have been warned. This one is about to go uber sentimental!!!!

8-2......that's one hell of a record. I know how much you boys wanted to be in that Championship game, but it wasn't meant to be. Is it fair? Hell no! BUT here is what I took away from this season of Newman Grove Football.

So much pride for six seniors boys. Six senior boys and one Football team that are loved by so many. I hope someday each of you will look back on your High School football careers and not think about a trophy, or the victories or the Championships lost, instead I want you to each look back on what you meant to each other. Remember who you were as a team. Know what you all mean as young men, not as athletes, to your family and friends.

Those people who were standing behind you tonight in that post-game huddle. They will be the ones you can always count on. The ones who love you the most. The ones who are there when LIFE is real bad, ALOT worse than losing a football game. We are the ones who will always remember your pride, your happiness and yes, yours tears, because we love you!

This was one of those moments where it hit me. It was down to less than a minute in the game, this was right before you went back in for the last few seconds to finish out your High School football career. I realized it was the last time I would watch you play Football. It is amazing how this moment just carried on, almost in slow motion. I didn't care about the score. I didn't care that you guys were losing, all I cared about was you. I knew you knew the minutes were ticking away too. I treasure each second of every game watching you play. You have made me so proud.

But as I look back on your four years of football here's what I remember. I remember this little boy who loved to hunt with his grandpa, pick on his sister, fish with his uncles and hug his aunt. I could not stand seeing such heartbreak on one young man's face. I knew it was going to happen, I tired to prepare myself, but I couldn't. You crying on my shoulder broke my freakin heart, but that is what family is for, all I wanted to do was make everything better, even though I knew all I could do was stand by your side. When someone I love is sad, so am I, that's how I roll. When I tell you I love you, I mean it. I never want any of you to be hurt or sad, it just breaks my heart. It reminded me of when you were little, but that's ok cause you have always been one special kid!!! It means so much to me that you love me too. Please Sheldon don't ever stop being the kind and loving kid that you are and always know that I am not only your Aunt, but I am your friend and you can always count on me if you need me.

You kids have all been such a joy in my life, I love you each as if you were my own. I am so grateful to my brothers and my sister-in-law for allowing and encouraging me to be a part of your lives.  Look at the beautiful and wonderful people you have all become....I love you all so much!

Now, you think this football post is sad.....wait till the Wrestling one!! :) I love you kid!! Forever and always........

I'm dreamin of......

Christmas already! That's because everything around me is already promoting Christmas, from the Internet, to TV, to print and even Facebook. I was hoping I was safe and sound here on my blog, but I actually had someone tell me that I am hard to buy for Christmas. So as I have done in the past.......

Here is a shock! I want an apron or two for Christmas. I love the style and design of these.

Day 306

There was just no getting around it. I LOVE these little tiny Totino's Party Pizza's. I have NO idea how these little babies would feed a "party", but they certainly feed the party in my tummy. No Special K for me today, I wanted on and I had ONE....thank goodness they are tiny.....and yummy!

Day 305

My sweet baby boy, sound asleep on his pillow in the vehicle on the way back to St. Ed from the Lake. He thought he was going to the vet or to get a hair cut at first but was smart enough to know that when we didn't turn right at the corner there was no worries. He fell sound asleep till we pulled in.....no more carrier I guess, our boy is growing up!

Day 304

Day 303

Not the day I really had planned.....ended up hosting a Nebraska/Missouri party in our garage and then made food for our Lake Pal Jay's 40th Birthday.....I really intended on going to my SIL and BIL's Halloween party but Jay's party derailed our plans...the awesome news, Nebraska beat the 5th ranked Missouri Tigers...and I had a great day!
