Why I haven't lost my Love for Dirt Track Racing.......

because of this guy right here. I swear, racing runs in his blood, oh he trys to act like it doesn't bother him to share a little of the spot light with his son, but the truth be known....he still loves being the driver. He is such an important person to me. I have such a huge soft spot for this guy and sometimes I ask myself why. Maybe it is because he is just so passionate about this sport that I love so much or maybe it is because after all these years and all those miles of track he is still hungry for wins but I think it is because he is Driver. I saw him standing here tonight messin with his window net and I could tell......my Driver was in the zone, the racing zone...right where he belongs.

Silly Cats......

Our Cat McCook and her kittens are constantly doing something that makes me smile. Well, it seems that yesterday the only Cool place these guys could find was on top of the grill. Imagine that! Well the good news is...it wasn't on :) Here they are just hanging out.......and watching me watch them.

I really do like these two layouts I did for my Newest Creative Tream K-Joi Studios. Ron took both of these photos on the Fourth of July at our Cabin and they are pretty cool. Thank goodness he took them....cause they were perfect for Kara's awesome Fourth of July kit......

Pictured in the pictures are My nieces Alicia and Cassidy, My Mom Gloria, My Sister-in-law Barb and me! :)

Today is....

My Anniversary. NOT my wedding Anniversary, but the day that I met my future husband. Yup.....17 years ago in 1990 I met Ron at a Street Dance. We have been together ever since that night in 1990.

We were married September 14, 1991. Here is our wedding picture from our wedding day to celebrate the Anniversary of the day we met.

This is my soul mate, my best friend and the person who most enjoy being around. People always tell me "You are so lucky" Yes, I am I know that.......but Ron didn't do too bad either...hehehehe

Dear Santa.......

I know it is the middle of July and you are probably resting from your one busy day a year, but this year what I would like for Christmas is........

IS A COLD FRONT IN THE MIDDLE OF JULY IN Central Nebraska. I am not asking for much and if you could bring me this like in the next two hours I would be a good girl the rest of the year. I so promise to behave and not do anything wrong. I promise to leave you a Meat Lovers Supreme Pizza....forget those stinkin cookies :) they will melt by the time you get here.....and some Lemonade. REALLY REALLY cold Lemonade....cause if you plan on visting Nebraska this time of year in that Flannel suit and big ole beard you are seriously going to need some thing to drink.

Right now, I am most certainly dreaming of a white Christmas because it is 7:42 at night and the temperature is 88! Please Santa save me from this sweltering heat and bring my present early this year..........

I LOVE YOU Santa...and if you Don't deliver.....don't expect me to sing your praises come December......

Please....ENOUGH ALREADY!!

Dishing on my Drivers. Gosh...what is it this year. SOOOOO Jake's a rookie...He's a sixteen year old KID. Grow up people. Just SHUT UP and race! You were Rookies once yourself....there is NOT ONE SINGLE DRIVER out there that has never ever been rookie. Plain and simple. After all....it wasn't the rookie's spinning out!
As for the comments on Dave.....get your facts straight! PLEASE....get them straight before you post something online. Dave's been my driver for a LONG LONG time and you just don't mess with Dave.
OK enough of that......but I send my best luck and wishes to my boys. Dave and Jake, I am SOOOO proud of both of you, no matter what.

Moving along.....CONGRATULATIONS Clint....great finish in that Busch race today......YEAH.

As for today, the lawn is mowed, Ron organized my shed for me, the laundry is done, the old newspapers are sorted and I did tons of online stuff I need to finish......now to finish downloading a trial PSE 5.0 and take the combine out to field so Ron can combine our wheat tomorrow and that is it for this little kitten.
Hummmmmm....let me see......I think I want to post another layout I have done.......

OK I chose this one....cause Rhonda truly is my 100% friend....and the above mentioned boys.....are her's. Her husband Dave and her son Jake.

Happy Friday!!

To all! I am personally glad it is Friday. I have a very busy week on tap for next week, so this weekend is all about the girl...that's me! (hehehe) I did something very monumental for me yesterday.........I finally parted with my old Scrapbooking Magazines. Man was that hard! I had every one since 2001!! OK that might be just a bit ridiculous. That silly Clean House show is going to be the death of ALL my stuff :)

Yesterday, a friend of mine and I were discussing scrapbooking and I mentioned to her that last month I managed to scrap 22 layouts. That is an all time first for me.......but as we talked about it, she said "So which one was your favorite" Well each one is my favorite in different sorts of ways, but I must say that........this one was my favorite:

I am glad she asked me this question, cause it really challenged me to go back and look at my layouts and determine why I even did them. This layout of my niece Cassidy was back to the basics for me. I remember creating this. I was driving down the road with Ron, while he was chatting away with one of our fellow team members I was in the back seat scrapbooking and I thought....I just want to scrap and not worry about making this layout some fancy pants things....and here it is...kind of back to how I use to scrap........

Well......Happy Friday all!! I hope all my friends, family and visitors have a lovely weekend.

One last note......good luck to Jake and Dave as they race tonight. Things will turn around drivers...I promise! ....and GO CLINT BOWYER!!

Thank the lord for Small Things....

.....like a Canadian Cold Front :) OM Gosh it has been SOOOOOOO hot here and what a treat today is. A comfortable 75 degrees compared to the 100 degrees we had on Saturday. Now, this is a nice treat. I can live with this. I even opened all the windows in my house to air it out. I hate that stale summer AC air! I like it fresh and clean, get some of the beautiful Nebraska air in here.

Well, I finally got time to scrap a little after surviving our 7-7-07 party which realistically took and good solid five weeks to get ready for. So long to that party! It was a lot of fun, but very hot. Thank goodness Ron was smart enough to rig up a water sprayer....kept us good and cool.

Here is one of the layouts I did yesterday for Gretchen Tripp's Creative Team using her Patience Kit. I wanted to share it here cause for some reason I am having trouble posting anything on my Scrapbooking blog. I really really really like this layout. Isn't that strange. It is a layout about a can of Lemonade :) but I still love it!

My friend Rhonda brought me this can of Pink Lemonade to the races and it totally made my night......This is my journaling:

Sometimes, we just don’t take enough time to appreciate the little things that people do for us. I love Pink Lemonade. My friend Rhonda knows I love pink lemonage and knew I had trouble finding a can or bottle of it, so when she saw one she brought it to the races for me. It’s the little things that she does that makes me appreciate her. Even though it was one simple little gesture it meant so much to me that this just for me and that is exactly why she means the world to me.

Well, I am off to enjoy more of this nice cool beautiful day! Mostly, to wash and hang out my bedding.

Feeling a little sentimental.....

Well here I am at the lake....and for some strange and bizzare reason I am feeling very sentimental. I have a a series of photos that scan through as my laptop screen saver and I decided that I would post one of these "old" pictures So here it is.....

This photo was taken at my last College Reunion party. This is myself and my sweet sweet friend Jen. She is a gem....100% awesome and I miss her!! Love you Jen!! That is it for my sentimental journey tonight......I have a feeling this might be sticking around. I think it might be the heat :)

I am trying to put my finger on...

what to say......it has been one hell of a day. I am tired, pooped and darn glad we took the time to drive to the lake. Cabin sleep seems to agree with me :) I am busy busy busy getting ready for our big party on Saturday.....the 7-7-07 party is just a few days away and I think we might actually make it!

Last night Ron and I had quite the scar. Our Cat McCook had kittens and whether either one of us want to admit it we love those kittens. Well, this weekend they made their big outdoor debut. So last night we couldn't find Pudge anywhere.......we were sure something happened to him, both of us went to bed convinced that a tom cat had killed him.......The great news!! Pudge was back this morning safe and soung! I was so happy....all three are safe, sound and happy little kittens.

Well, it is time to throw in the towel on this Monday, after Painting, powerwashing, vacuuming, washing clothes, folding and putting away clothes, dusting, washing windows and all other sorts of stuff.........I am done. Time for some serious peeps.......
