When you just need someone....

Here they are! My precious friends. They never let me down. Each one brings a smile to my face. I love the Ansons. There is so much I love about them. Life has given me these special friends and Love them so much!
7 DEADLY SINS –

PRIDE Which of your attributes or talents are you most proud of? I am very proud that I am a woman who treasures every day, every moment, everything.

ENVY What brings out the green-eyed monster of jealousy in you? When my DH pays more attention to girls he doesn't know. He is very social and he really is not flurting....just being nice.

Girls LOVE it. I hate it :)

SLOTHWhat’s your idea of relaxation? Camping!

I just love hanging out, having drinks with friends..I LOVE to camp!

LUST Who do you lust after? I LOVE LOVE LOVE My husband, It is not really lust, but I absolutely love one unnamed dirtack driver....it is NOT Dave :)

GREEDWhat was your last budget blow out on?I spend a whole lot of money on yard stuff.....but my DHwanted it so bad.

ANGERWhat gets your blood boiling? People who say bad things about my family.....and people who mess with Driver when he is racin....

GLUTTONYWhat’s your favourite food? Pizza.

It use to be steak, and I love love love steak, but my special treat is Pizza.
Oh and Crab Rangoons.

My friend Oscar added something to this part of her blog, so I will to. She said something about sympathy for Tony Stewart. Which I want to add to. Hugs to Tony and Clint Bowyer.

Don't you give up....never ever!

Here is my extra.

I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO freaked out that Dave had a terrible wreck on Friday night and the Boone County Raceway.

We love you Dave and am so glad you are OK!

The good and bad of long weekends.....

The good......I spent three three days and four nights at the lake camping with my DH and spending time with some friends and family, I was totally relaxed, I didn't have to put on makeup, I could wear a hat all day, I drank cola and didn't care and I treated my self to some Doritos (which I NEVER eat), I had steak on a open fire for three nights, I had picnic food for three days and I spent all day Monday floating on a lake....The bad.....I had to come home to the "real" world, I could have had some lovely sunset shots on the lake then my camera died, the camper needs a good cleaning, the laundry needs to washing, the clothes need to be carried in, the food out of the refrigerator has to be brought in, but right now I am just trying to get back into the swing of things...I am not sure this is possible. Think I'll take tonight off.....FORGET trying to get back into the swing of anything.....till tomorrow :)

This is my brother George's daughter and this Layout is going to be his Father's day present. I really love that picture. She is such a photo lover. Mainly she just loves to run to the back of my camera to "see herself". She is such a treasure.

This is one of the very first Layouts that I did using the Scrapbook Max software...it was good practice :) I get the biggest bang out these pictures of Ron taken recently in New Mexico....he was like a little boy watching and waiting for his ice cream. Poor thing.....but I had to wait longer than him :)

Honored to be your Godmother

This is my beautiful, talented, smart and precious niece Jessica. I am so honored to be this wonderful young lady's godmother. She is indeed a unique and special girl. I love her very much. I am so glad I have a couple of years to be a part of her life before she graduates. She is so like me....I think I am SO lucky because both of my brothers chose ME to be the god mother of their first children.....I am a very proud Godmother.....but I am also very very glad to be Alicia's, Sheldon's and Cassidy's Aunt. I love you all sooooo much!

I absolutely LOVE this photo, I think it just such a perfectly representative photo. Me with my little racin headphones on listening to drivers, everyone else just perfectly content. We love our friends Joel and Heather and we don't get to see them nearly enough. So from time to time I look at the Layout and smile.

I am sinking in a pile of Laundry....

For some reason lately, I have just NOT wanted to do laundry, no matter how hard I try to make myself, I just can't. I have tried rewarding myself, I have tried to do just a couple of loads a day, but I was SO far behind that we were drowning in laundry. Suddenly today I FINALLY had enough and got up early and got most of it done...THANK THE LORD! My basement seriously looked like Goodwill :)

My Perfect Match. I had this picture sitting forever on my computer. I decided to do a Digital Layout about it because it just came to me one afternoon. So I opened my computer and scraped this picture that I had been staring at since the 4th of July, 2005. Touchdown!

My niece the High School Graduate

Today, my husband Ron and I attended my Niece Alicia's highschool graduation. I can NOT believe that my first niece has graduated from High School. This is getting harder on the old Aunt year by year, my sweet little ones are growing up. I promised myself that I was going to be one of those cool aunts who made sure that I kept in touch with my Nieces and Nephews as they went on to college.....so far, with my nephew I have done OK, now I have to keep it up with Alicia. Here is our photo taken following her graduation ceremony. My sweet cuddler is a young lady. I wish nothing more for her than lots of happiness, love and success. I am SO proud of her. I will miss seeing her smiling face, but she is following in her Aunts footsteps by attending the same college I graduated from.....COOL!

This is my Nieces Graduation gift......I decided to make her a custom "SHE" book. I wanted to include the journaling for her dedication, so this is it......(you can't read it on the page):

For as long as I can remember you have always been the one who is my cuddle bug. You were my first niece, so girl, so sweet and I loved everysingle thing about you. Never forget where you came from and those who love you the most. Put your trust in those who look you in the eye and touch your soul. It seems so unreal to me that you have grown so fast into a beautiful young woman. There is nothing more in this life than I wish for you than the most love and happiness you can find. Enjoy your life, have fun, never cease to amaze yourself. Someday test love out, make sure the person you chose is honest, trustworthy and kind. Seek and you will find safe, secure and comfortable. Most of all remember that I will and always will be your Aunt. You are a treasure to me. I have watched you grow from a tiny little infant to who you are today. You have so much ahead of you. Some many good times and some bad, but use the bad to build courage, strength and hope. Remember your life is a gift...unwrap it slowly, and enjoy ever bit of it. I love you! I always have and I always will, if you need a friend give me call......Aunt Kristin

Because I am not a Mother....

I arranged with the help of my sister-in-law to make supper for my Mom at her house. Here is my family minus the kids. Me, my brother George, Mom, my sister-in-law Barb, my brother Larry and my husband Ron. We had a really nice afternoon just hanging out. I wish it would have been a little warmer, but we still had fun anyway.

Because I need to Make me feel better......

This is the Anson family....our Driver my adopted brother, my adopted nephew, and my best friend, my adopted sister....

Reality kicks you in the......

Somedays you get a swift kick in the.....................and I got that tonight. I really don't know how to explain it. Was I sick since Wednesday because I could feel something???

Then I get a call from my brother tonight....a call that Driver had an accident. I could NOT stop crying. I was shaking, very upset. Until I talked to drivers wife....I was scared...scared for her.....and worried about my Driver...my friend......my other brother. More I could NOT stop thinking about Rhonda, my "sister". I wasn't there....but who was she worried about....me "take care of yourself" she said..."Driver is fine"

I was sitting at home thinking just as long as Driver is safe and as long as Rhonda & Jake know Dave is ok.......then I am oK.

But my best friend was worried about me :) What a special, wonderful woman......THANK GOD I have her!! I could NEVER replace her in a million years!

More Team Anson Photos

I am really likeing this photo of Driver and his Son Jake. It probably won't be too long until Jake himself is driving one of these fast little numbers. Jake is a major help to his Dad....helping him in the pits on race night and work on his car. He also helped his Mom and Dad vinyl this car. I have also "adopted" Jake as my nephew :)

Team Anson Racing Photo shoot.

Why is it that, when you really want a nice day, it turns out crappy? We decided that it was time for our Annual Team Anson racing photo, so we planned it for yesterday. The wind was blowing, it was cloudy and cold. OH no....it couldn't be nice and pleasant could it? But it still turned out fine. We took some good photos, had a great meal, played some pool and conned Driver into fixing our water heater :) THANK GOD someone is good with tools.

My driver will always be my driver.....

My driver has been Dave Anson.....this year he is driving someone else's car beside his/ours at the Boone County Raceway. I have been a race fan at BCR for as long as I can remember. I am so use to to seeing that #18 car at BCR that I can not imagine my racing life without that car. So this is my take on this whole thing.......OK driver this one is for you.

I have to admit….watching you drive that 98 car made me a little sad. You’re my #18 driver. You were my driver first. Always remember that when it all comes down to it.....I am your biggest fan.

The Anson #18 has been on the track in Albion a good part of my life. I kept saying to myself…."It’s driver” “It’s just driver” It’s Dave” “It's my driver”

OH yeah Driver, I became jealous, obsessive, protectice…….your MY driver.

I never have never given up on you driver, never doubted you, never believed that were NOT the best of the best.

I became superstitious. I gave lucky charms to you…….all in all it is one thing, you are my friend.

I think I realized that when I walked up to you on Friday night and you were still Dave. Still the man whose eyes were so full of life because you raced that car like none other. That is what it is all about my friend, it is all about racing and if you ever doubt that we love ya…..you just watch us and watch me, cause you can always tell in my eyes that I am so proud of you.

I love you like a Brother Dave….always have...always will….always MY DRIVER .

Another night of racin is upon me.....

Missing Driver race last week was about the death of me. Just didn't have enough from the first week :) I am going racing with the team tonight and I couldn't be more thrilled. Missing racing for a vacation is somewhat exceptable, but I thought I was going to die, watching the clock, watching the boards, phoning Driver's poor son (that will teach that kid to ask for a cell phone) :) So tonight.....it is in person. Live in person racing for me. YEAH! I couldn't be happier....well if was just a little warmer.

Beth's Scrapjazz blog topic.....

Thanks to my fellow scrapbooker Beth at Scrapjazz...I finally have something to post about :) Seriously, she always goes through the effort of thinking of topics and this is the first time I have been able to actually participate. My first job.....well it seems like it was forever ago, but I remember it clearly. It might be hard for me to explain what my first job was, because it was an ag related job, but i'll try.
OK...I rode beans.....Now, for the explanation. You have a field of Beans...not grean beans..but field beans. What I did was ride on the machine that was attached to the front of a tractor. On this machine were Seats with spray wands, each person had a row that they rode down, as we rode through the filed using the spray wands to spray weeds in the our row. It was a great way to get some sun...and I did it for my Dad before I starting riding for other people. It was usually pretty hot. When I rode I always wore long pants and long sleeves, because we used a pretty potent chemical to kill the weeds. I can still remember my first "non Dad" check. It was a pretty big deal in my life to have a check that was my very own to depost. I felt so grown up!
Riding beans just takes me back to the days of doing it for my Dad. I enjoyed being outside, being with my Dad and feeling like I was really accomplishing something. I loved working for my neighbor too, but loved helping Dad...cause he always had Candy bars :)

Thank you Scott!!

I am on cloud Nine right now. OK about a week or more ago my main computer died. I was paralized with fear because the last time....I lost ALL my precious photos.......it about killed me.
I was so worried, that once again I would be in a funk for a week mourning my photos, but our trusty IT guy Scott, saved my precious photos for me.
What lesson did Kristin learn...again....BACK IT UP DUMMY! So in honor of my salvation, I decided to post a picture that I would have lost if Scott wouldn't be a computer genius and saved it all.....here it is. This is me at the Kansas Nextel Cup Race. As you can clearly see, I was in charge of transporting everything. Our tickets, our program, our scanner, our headphones, even our beverage of choice. If it wasn't for Scott I would have lost the only proof I have that I indeed do carry absolutely everything when we travel :)
