Saturday......

FINALLY! A day mostly to myself. I am spending the day working on a couple of MAJOR projects I have to get done. One is to upload digital layouts and the other is to organize my computer files, which I haven't done for nearly two months. My poor little laptop is FULL of stuff, half of which needs to be deleted and half of which needs to be backed up and stored on my external drive.

I really have NO idea where the month of April went. I swear it was just April 1st now it is nearly May 1st. So much going on between learning our Auction System to keeping up with my Scrapbooking Creative Team Assignments. Nuts I tell ya nuts!

I thought April was going to be much less travel and alot more getting stuff done, but it wasn't. But after next Thursday we don't have an auction until for nearly a month, so I will finally have some time to get all those things done that I have been putting off for so long!

My Major project is to redo my flower beds around my deck...they look like crap!!BUT then there are graduations, weddings, Alumni, anniversaries, reunions and endless other summer activities ahead of us as well. OH man......ok so much for that relaxing summer I have been waiting for!!

Lookie what I got!!

Yesterday my wonderful Husband (with the help of Bob, I think) had flowers delivered to our auction. We both keep saying that they are the most beautiful flowers he has ever gotten me!!



It was such a cool surprise and such a treat to have those beautiful flowers riding along with me in the auction topper....now that was cool! They made me happy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME......

....and it was an interesting one! Despite the fact that I had to work an auction. It was pretty good. Aunt Carolyn made me this cute little Rice Krispie Birthday treat....Isn't it CUTE!!!

A GORGEOUS day....

Once the 45 MPH wind went down!! It was almost 80 degrees today and it was much welcomed and much enjoyed. Ron and I spent the day doing some odds and ends at our cabin and then headed out for an evening boat ride.......along the way we met a cute little friend and her cute little family!!



They were just sitting along the bank sunning themselves and they were just tooo cute!!

Fridays ROCK!

Iam so glad to be safe on sound at the cabin.....looking forward to our boat going into the lake for the first time this year!!!!!!

Wednesday Woes

...and I just can't shake them. I had one of those days where I wasn't focusing on the good carma stuff. I was mad and angry and hurt and upset all in a matter of a few hours, I am trying to learn to not be, to focus on the things that bring me happiness and joy....so I thought.........of my friends and that I could NOT pick up Joels call even though I wanted to during our meeting.....

the last lift bar at the base of Keystone Mountain in Dillon Colorado has been somewhat of a stopping place of ours for the last years. Everytime I go there I make new memories and I remember the good times that I have shared with family and friends singing, dancing, eating and enjoying Libations......

I don't think there is too many times that I will look back at any of our sking picture and first NOT find a photo at the Last Lift Bar, but mostly think of all the wonderful times we have had just being alive and celebrating with the people we love the most....

This time with Heather, Joel and Doug...and this wasn't the first trip with Joel and Heather to the Last lift!

SECOND PLACE for my racing man!!!!!

WAY TO GO CLINT BOWYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2nd place in the Cup race tonight. Us Nebraska Clint Bowyer fans are soooooo proud of you!! Way to go! You pretty much got S&&&&&& on the post race interview, but we know you are the best. We shall see who has the last laugh on this one! US CLINT BOWYER FANS!!!! We did last year.....and we will again! THANK YOU CLINT for making my WHOLE night!

My Favorite Recent Layout

A recent layout about my "aunt" Carolyn. She is such a good person and I am glad she is my Aunt. I really really love this kit I used as well.......it ROCKS!! Scrappin Nuts Royal Beauty kit and Sienna Springs kit were used to create this layout. These kits can be found at Treasures to Scrap and they really are beautiful!!

If I would have had.......

a baseball bat or someother hard instrument...I would have wacked myself over the head today and ended it all. This was by far the most MISERABLE auction day in my entire 20 years of Clerking. I was wet and cold to my core. The last 100 items I would have been satisfied if we would have sold the entire row to go, but we got done early and my extrememly red and hurting fingers finally got a much needed warm up....and PLEASE let our next auction be warm......cause I DESERVE IT!

My little day this week without and auction. I tried desperately to create a couple of layouts, but NOTHING. I was just happy to get to the lake and get ready for tomorrow and the Behlen Auction.

.................for Todd and Kim Tyler today. The Tylers are repeat customers and MAN that auction was fun. My Friend John took me on a cool little ride to the wilderness camp and it was soooooooooo cool! I think I want to vacation there...only and hour from home....hummmmmmm.....LOVE the place!!

A Husker fan for the Hawks.....

....the Kansas Jayhawks that is. I am very glad that KU won their Basketball game last night and will be playing Monday night for the NCAA Championship. I have NO problem cheering for Kansas because of Clint Bowyer. Does NASCAR have an effect on my life....apparently :) Because Clint Bowyer reigns from Emporia Kansas and is a Jayhawk fan....thus I am also cheering for KU to take the Championship!!

It's FINALLY Friday....

...and thank the lord. A wonderful day for me. I ran to Columbus to pick up some stuff I needed at our cabin and then hung out with our friends at the lake. I LOVE this place. I would rather spend all my spring and summer weekends here than any other place. I feel awesome! I am happy, comfortable and in one happy ass mood! Life is good. The weather rocks....the ice is gone and it all up hill from here!!

A little thing......

For my Dad......Today it has been five years since my Dad passed away. That was an extremely difficult time in my life, I was VERY close to my Dad....so here are my Questions for today in honor of my dad.........................(answer one or all...or MAKE a LAYOUT and dedicate to My Dad Dennis)


1. What is one thing that reminds you or your father. (OH those dirt track stock car races I love so much, combines, tractors and corn)

2. Is a trait that you and your father share. (well I am adopted but I think it is my abilty to forgive and forget I rarely hold judgement, my father was the first to see the best in everyone as am I)

3. If your best memory of your father. (How I was his little farming buddy, I would spend every waking hour doing "guy" stuff and still love it the best")

I am NO GOOD at April Fools pranks so none from me!! I could tell you that I won the lottery and am FINALLY getting an attached garage on my house, but that would not only be a Fools joke but a Miracle :)
