Life is great in the air....

Today I had the best experience. I wasn't sure that I was ready to fly with Ron but now I have the fever. Needless to say...I'll do it again...in a heartbeat!!!!

Ron asked me to fly home with him from our Auction in Oakley, Kansas. I am grateful that I was preoccupied with printing reports and finishing up auction stuff because it didn't really give me a chance to rethink :)

It was cool when we took off seeing Mark in the truck..I saw it right away on the highway by Oakley.

BTW for those of you who have been wondering...RON STOCK is a wonderful pilot! He did an amazing job. Flying was perfect and he landed like he was landing on feathers.

I am sooooooo proud of you Ron...you are a great pilot and I am so glad I had this opportunity to fly with you. I love you dear.

Some photos......with the pretty fluffy clouds.....

Just outside of Grand Island and Kearney:

The Race Track in Doniphan

Duncan Lakes....our lake house is the one with the big white roof :)

Finally RIGHT before we landed in Columbud...the US 30 Speedway....

Now I am enjoying the Nationwide race...

Someone PLEASE.....

tell Ron Stock that you can NOT leave a roll of toilet paper on the floor with a little puppy who loves to chew on the floor!!!

So in honor of that....and the big PILE of paper I had to clean up four times today:

This is a layout I did about our Cheerio boy........this is his small pile of paper...but there was a great big one that followed this one........

I love you Ron, but MAN can you not figure out that after five times......Cheerio LOVES toilet paper and you can not leave it on the floor.......

Friday Musings thus far.....

This week has been one that I really didn't expect. I was cruising along minding my own business until a NASTY headache on Monday afternoon followed by ONE nasty sore throat has run it's full gammet of stuffiness, runny nose, sinus pain, earache......you name it!!! My best friends have been kleenex's, vick's vapor rub, heat packs, decongestant and tylenol.

I did manage to get my layout done EARLY for the CT Contest at Gotta Pixel. I am so pleased with this layout about my princess Button Lynn. I miss her so much and I just didn't know how long it would take before I could scrap about her again. I am happy that I could do this little tribute to my girl.

My biggest accomplishment has been staring me in the face for weeks and that was PAINTING the front door of our cabin. IT was dirty. Stained from our floor grouting fiasco and just plain in need of a spruce up. Now If I just had some white paint I could do the inside. The outside is done and thankfully protected by my screen door. I am really happy with the color I chose. It matches our new front porch perfectly!!! It sure feels good to have it done. As soon as I find my camera cord I'll post some photos here!!

Trying to get all the laundry done that piled up while I felt so miserable. Now to watch some NASCAR Qualifying and a little trackside to get my NASCAR weekend started off right. At least I feel better after going to bed last night at 9:00!!

Another day......another rain delay...

....and another Monday to think up an excuse to stay home and watch Clint Bowyer :) Of Course, tomorrow might be a little struggle for him considering he is starting WAYYYYYYYYYY in the back, but there is never really any reason to give up on ole Clint. So with the NASCAR race postponed because of Rain in looks like this Sunday afternoon/evening might be a good one to update my blog. So I might just find myself got back a few days to catch up a bit.

It seems like no matter when we get to the lakehouse. There always seems to be a huge mess!! I have no idea how two people can make such a mess but we sure seem to pull it off. The dishes, the laundry, the pieces of paper all over the floor from one little dog named Cheerio, who is sooooooooooooooooo naughty today. Must be the full moon?

....and I don't think Ron has learned that he can't leave ANYTHING laying around that Cheerio can chew, drag or carry off!! Here he is with Ron's Snicker wrapper. There wasn't a tiny little piece left when Cheerio boy was done with this!

I did managed to actually scrap a layout today for the Creative Team contest at Gotta Pixel and get it uploaded as well. IT feels good to kind of be getting my mojo back!

This is the layout I did using the kit we were given. This is a photo that I found on my nieces Jessica's facebook album.

We had such a busy weekend that it doesn't even seem like we had one!!! I can't believe it is Monday tomorrow, but ready for this week. Taking a couple of days to myself and actually going to do some things that I have had on my list for a long time!

Happy Sunday family and friends....catch ya later!

Happy Belated Anniversary to my....

wonderful brother and my awesome Sister-in-law this past weekend. It hardly seems possible that you have been this long, but I sure am glad you are cause there wouldn't be a Jessica or Sheldon if you weren't..and that would make Aunt Kristin very sad. I still remember your wedding day, mostly because I was so hot and mostly because I was the one that had to help Mom and Dad take those stinky sweaty tuxes out of their trunk when we got home!

I am so glad that you picked each other! Larry, you are an awesome brother! Barb, you are a great Sister-in-law and you together make a wonderful couple. You both have given me two of the most wonderful kids that I know! So smart, talented, and full of all the things I love...personality and genuine heart and determination.

I stole this photo from my niece Jessica's facebook album because I needed a family photo to celebrate your special day. I hope it was wonderful, cause you two are. I am soooo proud of all of you....and I love you so very much.
