A Husker fan as well......as a NASCAR fan!

Believe it or not...I am as much....OK maybe not as much.....OK maybe so....of a Nebraska Cornhusker fan as I am a race fan. I have almost the same reaction to a Nebraska football game as I do a good race. I am not sure I am willing to admit how much I love to hear the ole Nebraska fight song compared to the ole sound of a race engine....or the smell of football food compared to the smell of racing food. OK so it really is hard for me to chose which I love more...and THANK GOD I don't have to. The good news is.......I have gotten and will have in this week.....my first Bristol night race, Dirtrack Dave racin at US 30 Speedway, Driver Dave racin at the Nebraska state fair and a Nebraska football game!

Let the Bristol pictures continue.....

Boys must be boys and play. It was hard to Control Ron, Brian and Pat when they saw this mini race track. It was boys gone wild. While everyone else was crashing, Ron was surprising good at this......in reverse.

The last Bristol Picture for tonight..........

After the last two days on the road traveling home from Bristol, I am tired, my rear end hurts and I am sick of eating out. I have treated myself to everything I am not suppose to drink, eat or do.....so it is now time to regroup and while I am working tomorrow, I will be fondly remembering our trip to Bristol 2006. Ron & Kristin Stock, Dave & Rhonda Anson, Pat Shannahan & Brian Souba.

These are the some of my first looks at the Bristol Motorspeedway. I was the most excited Midwest race girl on the east coast. I have a new love.....and this is it! Too bad I had to take these thru the windo of the van.......

The good news/Bad News....

The good news is.............I LOVE THE BRISTOL MOTORSPEEDWAY! The bad news.........I am home from the Bristol Motorspeedway, vacation & race complete....now for some pictures....

The guys started the trip off right, with a toast to a safe, fun and exciting trip. We were all treated to a breakfast made for us by Ron and Pat......it was yummy. Thank you for letting the women rest.

For most this does not mean a hill of beans...........

But I had to do this for our company newsletter so here it is. It will not mean much to anyone except some of those who are the nearest to me but here it goes......

Name: Kristin K Stock

Job Title: Co-Owner, Corporation secretary & Auction Clerk and (as a select few call me) the go to girl…………..

Office (Columbus, Spalding, SE, Broken Bow): The back of the auction topper, who many lovingly refer to it as the popemobile.

# of Years with Stocks: 16 give or take

Hobbies: NASCAR racing, scrapbooking, photography, dirt track racing, bowling, pool and Nebraska sports

Family: My one and only Ronnie boy! My Mom, Gloria Boschen. My brothers and sister-in-law Larry & Barb Boschen & George Boschen. Also, my nieces and nephews Seth Boschen, Alicia Boschen, Jessica Boschen, Sheldon Boschen & Cassidy Boschen. My in laws Ray and Julianne Stock, Mark & Kris Stock, Todd & Susie Nordeen, Cindi & Michael Romero, Keri Ann Schumacher, Amy & Tim Nelson & Angie & John Landauer. And my nieces and nephews Daniel, Andrea & Eric Stock; Mikenzie, Sydney & Clayton Nordeen; Alexis & Curtis Romero; Kaitlyn, Taylor & Erica Roan, Simon & Joel Schumacher, Grant & Garrett Nelson, & Julia Landauer. Add in all my wonderful friends and of course everyone at Stock Realty & Auction Co. and my special in cognito family Dave, Rhonda & Jacob Anson.

A couple other questions that I thought of you don’t have to answer though:

Best Memory at Stocks: Beside Marrying Ron Stock…I would have to say that would be Ben Kobza’s auction by Bellwood, Nebraska, way back when. In addition, I would have to say having the pleasure of getting to know and having the late Jim Hemmer be a part of this company and my life, I gained more than I knew from him and I am so grateful he was here for me.

If you were to change Stock’s Classic Color of Yellow what color would you change it too and why: Red. Because I look really good in red.

And any other information you would like our customers to know: I love to clerk, but please do talk to the clerk. She really is a nice, sweet, loveable girl, but can not be bothered when she is working. You are all such wonderful, beautiful and lovely people, but I just can’t talk to you when I am doing my job. I take my job very seriously, and I thank my former bosses who gave me days off to come clerk, you were right, that is what made much such a great employee……….

Let the countdown begin!!

It is only a day and a half until we leave for the NASCAR race at Bristol. I am so ready! I am So outta here! I have wanted to go the Night race for years and years and this just has to rock! I am so thrilled my friends Rhonda and Dave are going with us. I get to hog my friends for six days....no sharing :) Bristol is a dream come true for me and I can't wait to post all the great pictures I take right here :) !!

Today was a gift from heaven!

This was absolutely the most perfect temperature day since May and it was most welcomed and appreciated. The relentless heat and humidity was gone for today and we enjoyed a lovely cool breeze and an overcast day. As far as Auction days go.................this was a top 10! Tonight the windows are open, there is a slight breeze and the "tree frogs" are singing. Absolutely perfect, now it is time to enjoy a steak on the grill and this beautiful night. This is one of those days that I would not trade in if I had to. THANK you lord for this beautiful break and for reminding me that there are so many perfect days in store.

All alone....and still the best..........

Driver....I can not begin to tell you how proud I am of you. You had a terrible accident that made me cry like a baby this year. You broke all there was to break but you never wavered! I am soooooo proud of you! You never gave up. There are so many times that you were just you. No one helped you, no one set you up, no one bought you a car..............If this is your last year I want you to know that you my friend went out in a blaze of glory and I simpy love ya! I have never stopped being your biggest fan. You have made me smile, made me cry, made me laugh, but I have always been there for you. I never wavered, never stopped believing in you, so if you NEVER set foot in a race car I want you to know. I love you. Your are a wonderful "brother". You have made the last 10 years the best! THANK DAVE ANSON!!! My Driver!

Neen's a great Person............PERIOD!

I would personally like to thank my SJ friend Neen for my kickbutt blog title seen above! I can not THANK her enough. I didn't expect it and I certainly did not deserve it. I am so grateful and so happy. It is so nice to know that there are those out there in the cyber world who care enough to do nice things for people they hardly know. She is certainly one of those and I appreciate her. Your a gem Neen. A sooooooooooooooooo cool to do this for me. You captured me perfectly....a little shiny now and then, but a whole lot of checkered flag for me :)

The stuff drivers are made of............

Here is the stuff that we see from week to week that identifies Dave as a race car driver. Besides his car......Driver has his gloves, driver has his helmet, driver has his race suit, driver has his race shoes, driver has his safety gear, driver has his window net. From race to race I have learned that these are the things I can see. These are things I can touch. These are the things that I know are a part of my driver. But there is so much more to this man who straps in every week and races. Race car drivers are made of determination, hope, raw guts, dedication and courage. I know now why it is so meaningful for me to be in the pits. I experience what makes this so special for driver. I see him climb in his car. I watch him focus on putting on his helmet and then there is his flip of the switch. Dave, you are indeed my hero. I can not replace any moment or my excitment of being there with you!

It's alright to be a bucket head..........

..........when your niece is so absolutely adorable. It is ok to look like a fool when a plastic bucket on your head. It really does not matter how ridiculous you look or feel as long as you have lots of hugs and love from the culprit. I swear Andrea you could make me look like a total idiot and you did and I still love you. I love and adore everything about you. Thank you for being such a sweet and special niece.

Testing

We are having some issues with Diamond Daze. This is just a test from Neen! Stand by for your regular programming.... fingers crossed!

I wasn't offically tagged but I am doing it anyway :)

I saw this on Oscar's blog and even though she didn't tag me I thought this was great, the challenge was to make a list of things I've learned this week. Here it goes............

1) I thought I was losing weight and looking good UNTIL I saw some pictures of me tonight. (Not this one) :)
2) I get real pissed when someone sits by my best friend at the races instead of me.
3) I am sick and freakin tired of this relentless heat.
4) I love having beautiful, nicely groomed nails that are all mine mine mine.
5) I am really starting to hate myself for not being able to make some personal changes in my life.
6) I really do enjoy a beer now and then and I could give a chit less if anyone cares.
7) NO ONE calls Dave driver other than me.....NO ONE......I don't give a chit who you are.....Dave is MY driver! I have been with driver through thick and thin, good and bad, and my commitment is never wavering.
8) I am very very sad that dirt track season in coming to an end.
9) That I freakin rock at cordinating an auction, printing reports and communicating with the seller.........I am very proud of how I handled our auction this week
11) I have been treating my brother like chit, but he hasn't learned a darn thing!
12) I use to love to clean my house, now it just drives me freakin crazy.
13) I have a friend that has been surprising me with his quite mood
14) I was very upset that a friend of mine sat and was entertained by someone I did not expect, paybacks are hell.
15) Life is not greener on the other side.
16) There is indeed NO place like Nebraska.
17) Kansas is freakin HOT!
18) Eastern Nebraska is greener than Eastern Kansas
19) I like the balance between being home and being on the road.
20) This blog looks 100% better because OF MY DEAR SJ FRIEND NEEN. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT NEEN AND I have learned that some of the greatest friend are those you have NOT yet met in person!
