Husker Harvest Days Official First Day...

....and it was one hot and windy one.....oh and VERY dusty due to the extended drought of 2012. This lack of rain is getting real old. Everything needs a good drink and a good wash. Not to mention everyone would be in a little better mood :) I have NEVER had my clothes and Myself for that matter be this dirty EVER at Husker Harvest Days. Tomorrow an impending cool off and rain is something to look forward to and pray for! Hopefully it will come. Got to HHD before the sun was up and wiped off filthy tables and computer, but what good it did me.......probably NONE! BUT at least I felt better knowing that wiping up a bit made our food/snack table a little cleaner :)

We conducted our 7th Annual Auction to Benefit St. Jude Hospital. It was a great Auction with lots of wonderful donated items and happy customers. Here are a few Photos from the Auction under our tent at HHD:

That Auction order board SURE LOOKS NICE :) I wonder who printed that so nicely?????? Hummmmmm.......

It was a fun day....except for that Wind and Heat but hanging out with my nieces and nephews always seems to brighten my day just a little. Andrea asked me to take her and Nicholas to the rope spinning booth next door to ours so they could make a rope. Here is Nick and Andrea hand spinning their Ropes. BOY did that Nick go to town on this thing :)

Nicholas could hardly wait to "get crankin" on his rope. It was too cute!

Andrea rocked the wheel and made the CUTEST rope with her favorite colors.....of course ONE being purple :)

I know there are a few more on Ron's phone, so I will update this post once I get my little paws on his phone to upload them...........

Watch for more :)
