Day 63

Today, I was unpacking the items that I picked up on my Shopping trip yesterday with my Brother and my Niece. Most of the items I picked up were gifts except for these little gems. I have a small collection of Nippon and really don't want tons and tons of it, so will pick up a piece or two that I just love, that way my collection doesn't get out of control. So my letter for today is N. N=NIPPON......

Day 62

Still on my flip flopped alpha letters. Today is L. L=LOVELY! Today I spent the day with my Brother Larry and My Niece Jessica. We went on a road trip antique shopping and we stopped at Lewis and Clark lake so Jessica could take some photos......I took this picture of her. So this is my lovely and talented Niece Jessica and her impromptu photo by her Aunt/Godmother...ME!

Spending the day......

With my Brother and my niece. We always schedule a day of Antique shopping and today was our day. It was the best day. We left NG at 9:00 and traveled to Yankton to shop and see what cool antique treasures we could find. It was a great day. I love spending the day with my brother, we usually listen to some great music. Jessica used my camera to take some photos a Lewis and Clark lake. MY GOD we use to go there when Jessica was in a stroller and there was no Sheldon. WOW....amazing. How time has flown by..........by I am luck to have a family that loves me so much and I love them.

I am going to share a few COOL photos that Jessica took on my camera. DANG she is talented. She loves sooo many of the things I do, including photography and we have similar tastes in pictures.

Now for "other photos"

My impromptu photo of my beautiful Niece Jessica!

Jessica and her Aunt Kristin.......

The road.....

Sometimes the greatest gift we have in life is to look back and say......."I made good decisions, I made bad decisions, but I made decision's".......and the following is a story about a decision I made that made a difference in my life...now......

The following song reminds me of making decisions. Tonight my Road behind is helping my Friend Doris just a few short months ago. She had just parked on main street in St. Edward, got out of her car and was trying to get on the sidewalk. She was having trouble cause it was slick. I stepped over the curb, reached out my hand to hers and said "Doris let me help you, so you don't fall" I made sure she made it to the bank....and now just two months later Doris is gone........so...

March is my lyric month so today it is:

The Road you Leave Behind by David Lee Murphy

I remember the night my dad stopped the car
And got out in the rain
Changed a blown out tire on a car
For a family with out of state plates
I said dad did we know those folks
As they waved and drove out of sight
He just smiled as he started the car
He said son not 'til tonight

You see the road you leave behind you
Is another road you're gonna have to come back down
It's just the way this big old world turns 'round
You'll find somehow somewhere someplace sometime
You gotta go back down the road you leave behind

Stuck out on the highway one night
Many years gone by
Had the hood of my truck pulled up
My ol' gas tank was dry
Some ol' guy gettin' off on the night shift
Pulled up to check on me
He said I been in your shoes before son
And it's no place to be

You see the road you leave behind you
Is another road you're gonna have to come back down
It's just the way this big old world turns 'round
You'll find somehow somewhere someplace sometime
You gotta go back down the road you leave behind

I said what do I owe you friend you could easily passed me by
He said next time it might be me son you don't me a dime

You see the road you leave behind you
Is another road you're gonna have to come back down
It's just the way this big old world turns 'round
You'll find somehow somewhere someplace sometime
You gotta go back down the road you leave behind

So just do something nice for someone........if you really appreciate it, it will make a difference in your life....because you never know when you will need a helping hand.........

Day 61

I decided to flip flop my letters and actually do the letter M for today. M=MEATLOAF. Ron loves Meatloaf and asks for it a couple of times a month....as he did today. I decided to change up my recipe a bit and try some new things.......it was a hit!

Happy Birthday Nebraska

Today is Nebraska's Birthday. I have decided that when I can't decide what to blog about I will blog Lyrics to songs that I love or that mean something to me. So for today....

THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE NEBRASKA:

There is no place like Nebraska,
Dear old Nebraska U.
Where the girls are the fairest,
The boys are the squarest,
Of any old school that I knew.
There is no place like Nebraska,
Where they're all true blue.
We'll all stick together,
In all kinds of weather,
For dear old Nebraska U.

I am truly a Nebraska Girl. I am proud to be a Nebraskan and wouldn't try and live anywhere

else cause this is my home.

Day 60

I am back to the Alphabet prompt again today....today's letter is K. K=Me KRISTIN. This is the best anyone is going to get a picture of me today. I have a camera on my computer, so I set up my photobooth to capture myself and my little assistant.......
